I gave it a whirl on the iOS app and was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed the experience. Being able to see various shades of reds, berries and pinks without applying (and re-applying) store samples was satisfying. You can compare shades side by side to see what looks best.

I personally enjoy bold lip colors from time to time, so I definitely wanted to try on a fun red and a bright fuchsia. I also tried on a simple brown as well as something outside my comfort zone—a frosted, metallic gold lipstick. I don’t think the full frost is portrayed in the app, but I ended up really liking how it looked in the photo.
